I've just checked and tidied up the lists of links and deals above so that it's all up to date. You'll need to check availability where you are if you're interested in those bundle deals at Best Buy and Target. In some locations they're showing as out of stock both for delivery and for pick-up in store, while in others they're showing as available for either shipping or in-store purchase only.
Another little deal on the Nintendo Switch Lite incoming from Amazon. This is the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Special Edition console, with a digital download of the game included. This is being billed as a saving of 17%, but a standard Lite console plus the game is being sold for $259 at Best Buy.
- Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing Edition + game:
$234$194.99 at Amazon
We were anticipating the Switch 2 for a loooooong time and rumours flew over what it would be. We saw concept art, and flirted with names like the Switch Pro. We know a bit more now... as you can see in our Switch 2 hub.
Aha! I knew there was hope for a console deal. There is still that Walmart import to take advantage of. It's Japanese, but it actually doesn't affect gameplay at all. You can get it for $282 – you just might need a plug adapter.
Okay so that Newegg deal has SOLD OUT. I'm going to look for alternatives.
I'm just going to grab a sandwich (it's lunchtime here in the UK) and I'll be back shortly...
What's your favourite game? It's likely it's on sale - I'm seeing tremendous deals on games today. Check out our ecom writer (and resident gamer's) deals post for video games - most of her favourites are on sale too!
There is actually a nice deal on the Nintendo Switch Sports physical game – it's reduced from $49.99 to just $30 at Walmart. You can play Play Soccer, Volleyball, Bowling, Tennis, Badminton and Chambara (Swordplay).
Do you have a favourite accessory? I am super into the sports accessory bundle that allows you to play all the sports you like... and it's currently on sale for just £22 at Amazon, down 15%.
Sometimes I think it's ridiculous to be getting so excited over a few pounds but honestly after the years of disappointment over Switch offers, it's hard not to rejoice at having something to write about here.
HOLD THE PHONE. The Nintendo Switch OLED has fallen in price AGAIN in the UK to just £220. This is unbelievable. Get it at ONBUY NOW.
I'll be honest, I'm such a retro game player. As soon as games went 3D I found it hard to engage. So I love the standard platform games that come free with Nintendo Switch Online membership. I'm looking at some of the best retro game consoles for my Black Friday purchase – especially the SNES mini classic and the Sega Drive mini 2. I know this is a Nintendo blog but I'm a sucker for Sonic. And apparently Nintendo offers some Sega games in its Nintendo online membership too, fyi.
The Nintendo Switch Lite console is in another bracket altogether, and has a different target player. If you don't want to play the game in a group on a TV then the Lite could suit you fine, as long as you're okay with having a not so fancy screen...
But are we right to be recommending you buy the Nintendo Switch OLED since the new Switch is coming soon? It's a fair question, after all would retailers really be dropping the price if they are sure there will be demand in the future?
The original Nintendo Switch is eight years old, and I can't think of many situations where we'd be suggesting you invest in tech that old. The Nintendo Switch OLED is only a few years old – still ancient in a fast moving tech world but context is important.
It is a unique proposition – it's the only Nintendo handheld, and is set up perfectly for Nintendo games old and new. It isn't going to be blocked from working when the Switch 2 comes out, and the Switch 2 is likely going to be in another price bracket – or at least be the full price of the Switch OLED. So if you want to save money then this is the time to do it on an OLED console that should last a while longer yet!
Unless you're really on a tight budget I wouldn't really be recommending the standard Switch when the OLED is so cheap though.
A nice bundle from Argos in the UK gives you Nintendo Switch Lite and Animal Crossing and Switch Online membership for 12 months. for £189. Usually the Lite is £199 on its own so it's a nice value add AND lower price than we'd usually see.
Nintendo Switch prices are basically burned into my brain at this point so I have no need for other tools to help me. But it's worth knowing about a price comparison tool in case you want to research the price history of Switch deals, or other deals.
We use The Camelizer, which shows you the price history of all products on Amazon. Unfortunately it only shows Amazon but usually the cheapest prices are there (contradicted by my below post I know). It at least gives a sense of what has been cheaper and when.
It's odd how Amazon isn't joining in with the console deals on Switch. Usually when we see other retailers push prices through the floor on tech Amazon is quick to respond by going £1/$1 or £2/$2 lower just to make sure consumers go to them above anywhere else. But we aren't seeing that on Nintendo Switch at all. Even that Mario Kart Deluxe 8 bundle is over $300 at Amazon compared to that low of $275 elsewhere.
And there's no stock on a new OLED console... we think Amazon might have a trick or two up its sleeve for Black Friday proper....
We are seeing that standout bundle deal drop in and out of availability. It's worth letting you know that Best Buy only has the deal in store, and Target now only have availability for shipping so it might not be long before supplies run out.
If you're in the UK, stocks appear to be holding strong on that standout deal from OnBuy but I'm also quite into this bundle deal that's around in various retailers. You can get Nintendo Switch OLED plus Mario Bros. Wonder download and Switch Online membership for 12 months, which gets you access to hundreds of games from Nintendo's back catalogue. If you like the added value of those two extras then this could be the deal to go for.
Good morning once again! Here I am to discover what's happened in the dealscape today. Bear with me while I do just that...
I've just updated our pick of the best Black Friday Switch games deals above because I realised that some of the prices and links had changed. Those are all up-to-date now. Nice to see record low prices on Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at Target. Meanwhile, the biggest discount I've seen so far is 64% off Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown at Amazon.
The official Nintendo Store also has some deals on games running, but third-party retailers are offering the best prices on most.
We mentioned the SNES Mini before, but there are plenty of other options if you're looking to indulge in some retro gaming delights. Here's a handy link to all the best current prices on our favourites, as reviewed in our roundup of the best retro games consoles. Alas, there aren't many Black Friday deals about, but some of these were reasonably priced already considering the nostalgia value.
The only problem with those deals at Best Buy and Target could be availability at your nearest store. These deals aren't available for delivery – in store only. That's going to be frustrating for some!
If you need proof that Target's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe OLED bundle is an incredible deal, don't just take our word for it. Over on Reddit, users are calling it "a no-brainer". "Holy moly," one user adds, "thanks for that update! Lost my switch at Heathrow a few weeks ago and was waiting for a good BF deal to replace! That’s as good as I’ve ever seen. Picking up at Target later!"
Waiting for new Switch deals to drop in the UK...
While the Switch is a great option for retro gaming fans, nothing quite beats the original hardware. We're big fans of the SNES mini, which is currently £258 on Amazon UK.
Remember lockdown? In those unprecedented times, Animal Crossing proved a balm for many, and it's still delighting gamers. At Amazon in the UK, the coral Switch Lite bundle with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and 12 months of Switch online is £10 off, down from £199 to £189.
There will be more of course.. stay tuned...
There are a host of Switch games with brilliant deals, up to 70% off in fact. See some of my favourites below:
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom:
Was $69.99now $29.99 at Best Buy - EA SPORTS FC 25 Standard Edition:
Was $59.99now $29.99 at BestBuy - Just Dance 2025 Edition:
Was $49.99now $29.99 at Amazon - Sonic X Shadow Generations:
Was $49.99now $29.99 at Amazon
So not much has changed regarding deals out there overnight. There are some really awesome deals on games so I'm going to compile a list and get right back to you....
Good morning once more Nintendo Switch fans. I'm here checking all the deals and, again, adding more. We're still seeing record-low prices across the UK and US, and I can't wait to see what today brings. Bear with me as I check through the page and have a search for anything else that's around!
Back to Nintendo Switch, I'll just round up where things stand at the start of Black Friday week before signing off for today.
The great news is that there are real Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals in the US, pretty much for the first time, really. These have come in the form of a direct saving of $75 on bundle deals with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online membership. The catch is that it seems they're only available in store at the moment rather than for delivery.
Nintendo itself was running that deal, which already offered almost $80 in added value, but a real cash saving is much more like what we want to see for Black Friday! Keep posted because we'll be back tomorrow with more updates, but these could well be the best US deals we see.
I know, I know... what is an image of a PS5 Slim doing on this Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals blog?! But if anyone's interested, Target also has some solid deals on the PlayStation 5. There's $75 off the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition, reduced from $449.99 to £379.99. That's 17% off.
Meanwhile, we've go all the rumours on the PS6!
$39.99 tends to be the price barrier for many of the more expensive Switch games, but several Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals at Target that break past that, including Super Mario Odyssey, which is now $29.99. There's also Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury for $34.99 and the adorable Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the same price.
Target has some Nintendo Switch game deals too. The highlight for me is Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for $39.99. Again, this matching Best Buy's price. This is a game that long topped out list of the best Nintendo Switch games.
I you promised you news on Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals at Target, so here we go. Target has an extra a $75 off Switch and Switch OLED bundles with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That takes the Switch OLED bundle down to $274.99 and the basic Switch bundle down to $224.99. Great deals, but they're basically just matching Best Buy's prices that we've already mentioned, so the right choice for you may depend on which retailer you prefer and things like shipping/collection options.
Okay lunch over, and I've just heard that some new deals are coming in from Target so I'm off to check those out. I'll report back with anything I find!
Just going to grab some lunch to fortify me for an afternoon of wisdom imparting, brb.
It's also a great time to upgrade your Switch accessories. I've found great deals on cases, SD cards, controllers and more. I know only too well the perils of dropping a new device and seeing that lovely screen shatter, so I thoroughly recommend checking out the deal on a case I found. It's got gorgeous illustrations, and you can pick from a range of them. The case is officially licensed for Switch, which offers peace of mind.
Amazon and Best Buy are the places to go for game deals, as I've seen some at 70% off! They're good titles, too, including Mario, Sonic, Just Dance, Animal Crossing and more.
If you're just joining us today, you'll want some price context.
The Nintendo Switch OLED has an RRP of $349/£299, and before this year never really dropped much in price. We were scrabbling over pennies, to be honest.
But this year, that's changed and we are seeing new price lows of $275 (bundle deal)/£224. Hurrah!
The original Nintendo Switch has an RRP of $299/£279 and we are seeing lows here too. $224/£214 to be exact.
The Nintendo Switch Lite's RRP is $199/£199 and I've found $170/£189.
Hello again Switch fans! I've spent my morning thoroughly checking the deals on page an making sure everything is totally up to date. You'll be delighted to know the prognosis for Switch deals is still brilliant.
I'll let you read them, but remember we also have some excellent advice on site such as Nintendo Switch vs Nintendo Switch lite, and Nintendo Switch vs Nintendo Switch OLED just in case you're not sure which console to go for. We'll be here all day (all week actually) with all you need to know.
We are still giddy over that bundle deal that has now been beaten by Best Buy. Looks like the upcoming Switch 2 is making waves this sales season…
Today has started with a bang! You can get the Nintendo Switch OLED console as a bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and other extras like online support at an insanely low price right now. It's got an RRP of $349.99 but is now just $275.99 at Target. It already had added value of $78 so this is amazing value.
This beats the lowest price we've seen for a standalone console and this gets you a bunch of other goodies as well. Sorry, hold on while I pick my jaw off the floor. This is unprecedented.
For most products, Amazon tends to beat everyone else on price. Not the case for the Nintendo Switch, where's there's always been a dearth of good deals. It has dropped some Black Friday deals on Nintendo Switch games, though. Some of them are the usual suspects (does anyone ever pay full price for Just Dance?) But there are some attractive offers.
These are the biggest discounts, all over a third off:
- Just Dance 2025:
$49.99$29.99 - One Piece Odyssey Deluxe:
$49.99$29.99 - Star Wars Heritage Pack:
$59.99$39.99 - Unicorn Overlord:
$59.99$29.99 HALF PRICE - NBA 2K25:
$59.99$29.99
Good morning! As promised, we'll be here throughout today to check deals are still live and spy any new ones. Currently, the lowest price around on an OLED console in the US is still the one from Newegg – it's at an equal to lowest price for a non-imported model, just $299.99. And in the UK that incredible offer from OnBuy is still running – get £75 off with the console at only £224.
I don't see that UK price falling any lower over Black Friday... but I do have hopes that the US price might shift a bit.
A reminder that the nearest thing to a Black Friday deal at Nintendo itself are the Mario Kart 8 bundle deals that it's running for both the standard Switch and Switch OLED. There's no direct discount, but these get you Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online subscription for the price of the consoles alone.
I'm really taking a break for today now (seriously, this time!), but I can confirm that the deals listed above were all correct at the time of signing off. Keep posted because we'll check in tomorrow with an update.
- Nintendo Switch Bundle: $299 at Nintendo
- Nintendo Switch OLED bundle: $349 at Nintendo
Just to let you know we'll be keeping an eye on Switch deals across the weekend, so this blog will always have the most up to date information in it. With Black Friday closing in, we never know when new deals might hit and we don't want to miss out!
I'm signing off for the evening, but we'll be back before you know it to find you even more of the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals and prices. Peace ✌️
With Joy-Cons in mind, I think it's fair to assume that plenty of you reading this will have experienced the dreaded Joy-Con drift (I know I have). If you're hoping to avoid that this Black Friday, then definitely take a look at the handy guide I put together on tried and tested Nintendo Switch Joy-Con alternatives that promise absolutely zero stick drift.
The pair I own is the NYXI Hyperion Pro, and not only are these controllers gorgeous to look at with colour-changing LED's but they operate in the exact same way as official Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons and even have motion controls too. Take a look at my NYXI Hyperion Pro review for all of the details.
One of the most essential Nintendo Switch accessories is a Switch dock. These are compatible with the standard Switch and Switch OLED models, but not the Switch Lite, as it allows you to hook up your handheld console to the TV for a big-screen experience and go hands free with your Joy-Cons detached too.
We're seeing a fair few Black Friday deals on some of the best Nintendo Switch docks, so be sure to go and check this out if you're looking to buy a spare (some are super compact and can fit in your pocket).
Bringing it back to Nintendo Switch deals, you might be wondering – what is a good price on a Nintendo Switch? Great question. The standard Nintendo Switch model typically retails for $299/£259. So any deals that you see fall below those prices are worth grabbing.
Nintendo consoles hold their value extremely well, so it's quite rare that we see any major Nintendo Switch deals outside of seasonal sales periods like Black Friday or even Amazon Prime Day. We tend to see the best deals in the form of bundles, which is great if you're looking for some Switch games or accessories to get started with.
If you're looking for some creative Nintendo stocking fillers this year, we have a guide to the best Nintendo Stocking fillers for the gamers in your life.
I really want the Lego Piranha Plant for my desk at home, and I think it would make an amazing gift for anyone wanting a unique office accessory (who needs a real houseplant when you have this?).
There are tons of other options in the guide to suit a range of ages and budgets, so be sure to check it out if you need a gift to go along with your Nintendo Switch console purchase.
I mentioned that my favourite Nintendo Switch game is Disney Dreamlight Valley, so let me tell you a little more about it. This game lets you create your own character, and build/customise your valley, which will eventually fill with Disney characters as you progress through the story. Complete tasks such as fishing, harvesting crops, and cooking in Remy's restaurant to build relationships with characters and unlock new features.
It's basically Animal Crossing in a lot of ways, and I highly recommend it if you like laidback games for fishing your troubles away. It also has Pixar characters too, with updates happening all the time bringing in new characters and storylines.
If this has piqued your interest, you can get the Disney Dreamlight Valley Cozy edition for just $29.83 at Amazon right now, down from $39.99 which is an excellent price. If you're in the UK – you can bag it for £34.99 right now down from £41.99.
A lot of people love the Nintendo Switch for its handheld retro appeal, but there are a ton of other consoles out there designed solely for retro gaming, like the Evercade EXP, and you can also get miniature replicas of old Nintendo consoles like the SNES. Take a look at our resident gaming expert's pick of the best retro game consoles.
Speaking of Snorlax, did you know that you can get Pokemon-themed official SanDisk SD cards for the Nintendo Switch?
There's a yellow Pikachu 256GB card, a Gengar 512GB card, or a Snorlax 1TB card which is on sale right now at Amazon for $134.99 $89.99 and also at Amazon in the UK for £79.99 down from £127.99.
Hey guys, It's Beth here! I thought I'd quickly introduce myself as I'll be taking over the blog for a while. I've owned my Nintendo Switch since 2017, and I absolutely love it. My favourite game to play right now is Disney Dreamlight Valley, as it's super chill and I love getting to unwind at the end of the day and complete tasks in my own Disney village.

Beth is our Ecommerce Writer, and loves all things tech and gaming. She owns a PlayStation 5, Meta Quest 3, and Nintendo Switch, plus she used to work at a retail games store, so knows everything there is about the best Nintendo Switch prices and trade-in deals. Not to mention, she has a Snorlax tattoo, so if that doesn't scream Nintendo nerd then we don't know what does.
The Switch 2 is coming next year, after a lot of anticipation. We don't know tons about it, but we do know it'll be a Pro version of the current Switch OLED. Read all about our coverage of the new Nintendo Switch 2 here.
We saw some marvellous concept of what it could look like, which began flooding in years ago. We sort of gave up hoping for a while and then the announcement was made a couple of months ago. Since then we've been on tenterhooks and have known this Black Friday was going to be a little different for deals.
It looks like Amazon has the best deals on Nintendo Switch games so far, with up to 38% off some genuinely brilliant titles. You should explore them all here:
... and we'll find some more to highlight.
Nintendo released some special bundles recently, which get you the console and Mario Kart Deluxe 8 for a knockdown price. You'll save around $70 by buying them this way – certainly not to be turned down if you're a console-less Mario fan. These bundles are from $299.99 at many retailers.
Nintendo Switch deals are notoriously difficult to find. But we are experts so worry no more, if there's a deal to be found, we'll find it.
We've also got our eyes on games and have found a wonderful deal on the Bluey game. Yup, maybe a weird one to start with but with children in the house this could be a great Christmas present for the family – it's now only $20 at Amazon, reduced from almst $40.
Hello! Happy Black F.... oh wait, its just a normal Friday isn't it? BUt deals are coming thick and fast already, which is great news for everyone.
We're kicking things off with a couple of brilliant deals on OLED consoles – one for the UK and the other US. Hurrah!
- Nintendo Switch OLED record low price: £224 at OnBuy
- Nintendo Switch almost-record low price: $299.99 at Newgg
